Edgemead High School Princess u16 Hockey Tournament

On Saturday 5 March, ASLAN-HIS organisation had the privilege of hosting the first Edgemead High School Princess u16 hockey tournament. The weather didn’t deter them from having an eventful day filled with excitement and positivity. The day was a huge success due to the participation from Edgemead High School, The Settlers High School, Fairbairn College, Durbanville High School and Pinelands High School. Apart from the hockey aspect, they also had some team building games which took place in-between matches. These fun games created a vibe and an exciting energy amongst all the teams that participated.
Awards for Top goal scorers went to Girls: Jesse Brink (Durbanville), Ashley Cupido (Settlers) and Caitlyn Turley (Edgemead) and Boys: Uthmaan Abrahams (Pinelands) and James Nash (Edgemead).
Jamie Nicolls (Settlers) won the sportsmanship award.
Player of tournament was awarded to Girl: Jesse Brink (Durbanville) Boy: Dean Turley (Edgemead).
Edgemead High School were the overall boys champions of the tournament, while Durbanville High School secured the girls champions of the tournament award.
Edgemead Hockey Coach and Tournament Organiser, Damon Watt, would like to extend thanks to everyone who made the tournament the success it was.
